The
Section was founded in 1996 at the Symposium "Computer-Aided
Drug Discovery" in the framework of Third Russian National Congress "Man and
Drugs". The founders of the Section were working in this field,
scientists from the Institute of Biomedical Chemistry of Rus. Acad. Med. Sci. (Alexander Archakov, Vladimir Poroikov, Alexis Ivanov and associates), Institute of Physiologically Active Compounds of Rus. Acad. Sci. (Oleg Raevsky and associates),
Chemistry Department of the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University (Nikolay Zefirov and associates).
The Russian Section is working in close collaboration with the Board of The Cheminformatics and QSAR Society , to stimulate international collaboration in Bioinformatics, Chemoinformatics, (Q)SAR, Molecular Modelling and Computer-Aided Drug Discovery. |
